The RE candle line is a small collection inspired by Reverend Ron Eckert’s most beloved sayings, paired with scents that evoke significant places in his one wild and precious life, and created in service of a mission that reflects his big heart.
These soy-based 8 oz candles are made in his memory, honoring a champion of people—all people. Whether you were a barista, a visitor on the church patio, or a seventh grader experiencing camp for the first time, he celebrated you—big time.
And while he was an ordained minister, his pulpit wasn’t often inside a church building.
His pulpits were at local coffee shops, in a summer camp meadow, in his backyard, on the sidelines of basketball games, and in his lifelong work shaping children and youth into the best versions of themselves. And in these “pulpits,” he’d listen first—for a long time—and then share a message rooted in the big, wide love of Jesus, packaged in a way that was easy to digest. Memorable. With words you could remember twenty years later when you desperately needed it.
We ache for his loss on this side of heaven. Until we see him again, we hope these candles continue to share his light. May they serve as a reminder to keep building bigger tables, leaning in, sipping slow, cutting the last bagel in half, borrowing courage, and trusting the Cook. Over here, over here!!
